One of the features was a presentation by the kids from Cal Tech who have converted a Sportsmobile to enter in the DARPA Challenge, a US Government sponsored contest for autonomous vehicles. That is, vehicles that can drive around all by themselves using computers, GPS, radar, lasers, iPods, rubber bands and stuff like that. The Sportsmobile Band cranked it up on Thursday night.
The next morning, Professor Craig Peterson led a group of hearty souls on nature hike.
