On Friday, Jeff and Pam arrived and we went to town for lunch and a cool beverage at Chad's, Big Bear's world-famous watering hole.

On Saturday, we drove over to the north side of the lake for a visit to the Big Bear Discovery Center and we discovered that there isn't that much to discover there.

Later, we went over to the Bear Mountain ski area and sat on the deck to watch the skiers and snow boarders attempt to win free t-shirts from some radio station. The idea was for them to do tricks off a jump about a hundred yards up the slope. Amazingly, none of them killed themselves, though there were many spills, and some of them even managed to execute a 360 or a flip or something.
