On Saturday we drove to LA!

First stop was Rodeo Drive where we all looked for something we could afford to buy but nobody found anything.

We didn't even see any famous rich people buying stuff.

Oh yeah, I was able to buy a small coffee for $2.50 and there was no charge for window shopping.

Next stop was Hollywood Blvd where we saw Elvis as well as many famous stars on the Walk of Fame.

We had a great lunch at 25° in the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel. One order of fries was enough for all four of us. We had other stuff too but we couldn't even finish the fries.

We checked out all the footprints and greetings from Hollywood stars in front of Grauman's Chinese Theater.

We tried to catch up with Darth Vader for a photo op but wound up with Sponge Bob. Talk about a let down... The third photo is in the Kodak Theater, home of the Oscars. Mal and Caitlin are waving to the paparazzi. If you look closely at the photo on the right you can see the Hollywood sign in the middle background.

We had a nice visit with Johnny Depp and Jim Carey and some big fat guy.

Actually Johnny and Jim were inside the Hollywood Wax Museum and I was really hefty for a while after eating all those fries for lunch.

GPJ & GML look a little tired maybe.

We drove up into the Hollywood Hills to get a little closer to the sign.

On the way back we drove out to the coast, mostly on Sunset Blvd, we then drove south through Santa Monica and stopped at Venice Beach to check out the scenery.
