We made the 240-mile drive from Billville to Baltimore to have a little quality time with the Filling family.

Malarie's sixteenth birthday was May 6, so we gave her a special gift - a green Nano - she was sooo excited! That's daughter Debbie on the left, along with Lorri, and then Mal opening her gifts.

On Monday, we had the honor of being driven to lunch by the birthday girl who now has her learners permit and, if all goes according to plan, will have her driver's license in September.

Here we are at Freddie's with Mal blowing out the lone candle on her cake.

Dog Walking Video

Later that afternoon while Malarie was at the dentist, Lorri & Deb took Charlie the dog for a walk on the Ma & Pa trail.

Still later we went to see Jake play baseball. Jake started at pitcher and chucked three scorless innings.

Pitching Video

After pitching he moved to shortstop and first base and went two for three at the plate.

His team won the game after Jake's buddy, Dustin, the 72-pound marvel, came in to pitch in the bottom of the last inning with the bases loaded, nobody out with a one-run lead. After a favorable call at the plate, a strike out and a pop up, the game was over and Dustin got the save!
