Jamestown		 Monday, July 28, 2008, brought the arrival of Jake & Mal's momma, Deborah, to San Diego!

On the way back from the airport we stopped at UTC for lunch and a little shopping.

Back in Encinitas, it was time for a walk on the beach. These photos were taken about half-way between Moonlight and Swami's

The next day, Wednesday, Jake got in a little low tide practice with the skim board and he did really well.

Later at the beach we were joined by Ashley, Sara and Greg.

   

The girls are doing their traditional pose they've been doing almost every summer since Mal & Sara were about two.

Mal & Sara are exactly the same age, only a couple hours apart, born on the same day. Ashley is a couple years older, Jake, a couple years younger.

Later we walked down to Moonlight beach in an unsuccessful attempt to see some grunions.

On Thursday, Deb took the kids up to Orange County to spend some time with Deb's good friend Chad and show the kids some more of Laguna and Newport Beach. On Friday, the kids' last day here we went to UCSD to check out the campus for Mal and then hit the beach where we ran into Ashley and Greg who joined us for bbq'd burgers Friday night. I guess I forgot to take pictures because I couldn't find any on my camera. The kids left at the crack of dawn Saturday morning but Deb still had four more days. We had a great time with the kids and with the kids and Deb together and now we were looking forward to a little quality time with just Debbie.
