Sunday, March 15
Goodyear Ballpark

The cousins and friends had to go back to San Diego Sunday, so it was just
the six of us for the Padres at Cleveland today.

Here we are in that great tailgating spot Lorri and I found on Friday.
Nothing like a little shade, a Bloody Mary and some good sandwiches from
Wildflower Bakery.

Kim and Ryan heading into the park.

That "Zizzy" sculpture again.

Tom is writing down his bid on an Ozzie Smith signed baseball. He won it!

Hey, what's going on here?

Buddy Black's back.

Some of our Padres new found talent.

Number 64 is Alex, the friend of the friends. He was on the 40-man roster
and got some good playing time.

That Zizzy thing again.

Kemp legs out a triple!!?

Our seats just to the third base side of home plate, a few rows back from
the Padres dugout.

She did a good job singing the National Anthem before the game.

Ian Kennedy. Looks like a cutter.

Kim and Nick

and Ryan

OK. Hmm. No comment.

Not a big crowd at Goodyear Park

Our seat were to the far right about 6 rows behind the dugout.

The score board says "I knew you were trouble when you walked in..."
Which on of us are they referring to?

I think that's Alex on the right. He played right field that day.

Not sure who he's talking to. Wil Myers?

We need a big year from Gyorko

********Monday, March 16********

Back at Peoria today for the Padres game against the Cubbies.

Next generation takes over!

Ryan and Kim provided the tailgate cuisine today!

Pollo and carne asada tacos! Perfect! We had some margaritas and everybody
was happy!

Ryan is busy cooking while Kim is busy drinking!

Here's to the cooks!

Shots!

Looks good, Tommy!

Selfie of the boys.

More great seats!

Another selfie. It was only March 16 but since we were leaving after the
game, I had to wear my St Paddie's Day green!

and another...

Looking down our row, Tom's hand, Lorri, Kim, Ryan and Patty.

The Pads were way ahead when we left, having shown off some of their new
talent for power.

Lorri and I spent Monday night at Painted Rock National Monument, which is
pretty much out in the middle of nowhere, Arizona.

So as the sun slowly set over the Arizona desert, we had time to reflect on
another great Spring Training getaway with Tom and Patty, Ryan and Kim,
Tom's sister Pam, and Scuzzies Ashley and Nick and their friends! It
was a great time! We can't wait for next year but before that, we can't wait
for the Padres to have a great year and win the World Series!
