Spring Training 2017
Once again we joined the Thompson Clan and friends in Peoria, AZ, a beautiful suburb of Phoenix.

That's Lorri's Tiguan in the front row, second from the left. It's slightly smaller than our Sportsmobile van, right? It worked out, though. We piled our stuff in the back and took off from Encinitas on Thursday morning.

So we went inside and had shots instead, Trevor, Jenny, Mary and me.

Sunday at Goodyear vs. the Indians
The Pads played the Indians in Goodyear at the facility they share with the Reds. It's one of my favorite Spring Training venues although it's a fair drive from our hotel.
We were able to have a small tailgate at our spot at the edge of the parking lot.
It was a little cloudy and cool, for Phoenix, but a nice day for a ball game.

There is something soothing about a palm tree lined outfield.
Goodyear Ballpark is small and sort of lowered from the surrounding grade. It's always fun to take a lap around the walkway.
The bullpen is just down between the outfield fence with the yellow top and the fence at the end of the grass.

Monday at Camelback Ranch, Glendale, vs. the White Sox
I'm not sure we figured out what animal Jennafer was wearing but I'm sure she had enough red party cups.
We found a nice spot to set up for some snacks and pre-game beverages. It was warm in the sun but cool in the shade.
I went in search of a baseball for all the 2017 attendees to sign.
We found a giant Tommy Lasorda bobble head. The White Sox share this facility with the Dodgers.
