Aruba! Aruba!
Their license plates say "Aruba One Happy Island" and it seems to be.
Once again, Aruba was our favorite island to visit. Fortunately for me but much to the chagrin of many fellow travelers, the day we visited was an Aruban national holiday and most of the shops were closed. They were commemorating the death of Batiki Cruz, a crusader for their independence. Our ship was docked from mid-morning until after midnight. It was the first time we were able to experience some of the island night life. During the day we went to the beach. Here are some beach photos.
On the left we have Lorri in a view up the beach. We were out in front of the Hyatt where you can get a small beer at their beachside bar for only $6 American dollars! What a deal! The middle shot is Lorri and the beach. The water was clear and nice but a little cool. On the right is us with the Hyatt in the background.
This vender cart was standing empty and unused. I liked the colors.
This is a shot from the ship looking out over the town area and Carlos & Charlie's bar where we ended up late that night.
