Been there, so we drove right through.

Gloucester, MA

October 9, 2002. Before the book and movie "Perfect Storm", Gloucester was just a sleepy little fishing village on the coast of Massachusetts, a little north of Boston. Now it is a sleepy little fishing village with a lot of tourists looking for the Crow's Nest and the Andrea Gail, only one of which can be found, but not easily.

We found the Crow's Nest! Here I am pretending to be George Clooney. I guess I'll have to keep working on it.

On the left is Lorri with a local guy inside the Nest. In the middle, boats. On the right is the boat that played the Andrea Gail in the movie.

Study in red on the left; Gloucester street scene on the right.

After Gloucester, we continued up the coast and found yet another Massachusetts State campground at Salisbury Beach State Reservation. This is what it looked like.
