Wine Stop!

Our first. last and only wine stop in Illinois was at Cameo Vineyards. You might say we made a Cameo appearance in Illinois! Then again, you might not.

Cameo is owned, operated and cared for by Dan and the charming Sonya Webb. This is Lorri with Sonya in their tasting room. If you ever get to Greenup, IL, I highly recommend paying them a visit.

It's a fairly scenic area. This is a view out over Dan & Sonya's vineyards toward a covered bridge on a country road in the background.

I forget where the heck this place is but I remember we stopped for lunch near the town square. As I recall it billed itself as the "city of balconies" or something like that. I'm not even sure it was in Illinois.
