The next day we stopped in San Antonio for a stroll and lunch on the world-famous River Walk, the Paseo del Rio. It was beautiful day, although a little on the warm side. The River Walk is a great place. Next time we pass this way, we plan on getting a hotel room in the area and spending some time there.

As it was, we had a nice lunch and enjoyed our brief stop.

We spent the night a South Lllano River State Park, near Junction, TX. It's a nice state park just about halfway across the state. That means it's about 8,000 mile from Louisiana and 8,000 miles from New Mexico.
