Help me! My goal is to raise $10,000 or more for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. With the generous support of my friends, I've raised over $5500 so far, and the checks keep pouring in, sort of.

Thank you all for your support and encouragement.

Week of May 11

Training Schedule

Actual Training

Sunday: 35 to 40 minutes XT Nope, Resting up.
Monday: 6 miles easy Nice jog around scenic Miramar Lake. My legs were still a little tired from the 20 miler Saturday.

Tuesday: 6 miles aerobic.

Went camping on the beach, San Elijo State Park. Oops! Forgot to run!

Wednesday: Five miles easy or x-train

Ran along the coast from the State Park down to Dog Beach in Del Mar and back. I made faster progress than the vehicles on Coast Highway due the the major jam caused by the closing of the 5/805 merge. Felt good.

Thursday: Six miles Fartlek! 8 x 3 minutes hard.

Went to the Lake at 6:00 PM to meet some of my fellow TNTers for a run, but nobody showed up :~( so I ran 1/4 mile fartleks all alone and lonely.

Friday: OFF!

OFF! But did some good cross-training removing a stump from a fallen tree in my back yard. Exercises included the right-footed shovel thrust, overhead two-handed pick swing, the trash barrel drag and of course the overhead stump lift.

Saturday: 12 mile mentor run (back down week)

It was a good day for a run, overcast and cool, but not windy. We ran a little more than 12 because we took a wrong turn but it still felt good. We started in Old Town and went generally north and west, covering some of the route of the RNR Marathon. Two weeks from tomorrow!
