We spent a delightful Memorial Day afternoon at the home of Steve and Lynn (Lorri's sister) Evers. The entertainment included watching the Evers kids, Ashley and Sara and Steve's sister's kids, Nick and Chris, splash about in the new pool.
Unfortunately, the heater for the spa wasn't working so the adults contented themselves with relaxing over a few beers, some chips and guacamole and some sort of cheesy beany dip. Gracie the gangly Weimaraner, spent the afternoon on the lookout for dropped chips or any other morsels she could get her paws on.
Nick, who just turned 13 is nearly as tall as Lynn & Lorri and a lot smarter. Chris, who is Sara's age, somewhere around 11, and Nick have a tradition of getting together with the Evers girls and raising holy...well, never mind. They all have a lot of fun.
Here they are having fun.
The photo of Lynn shows how far she could get her eyes open after about two-and-a-half beers. At the right is Steve contemplating the situation.
Gracie was about to take a bite of my camera. Gracie is a wonderful well-behaved dog with brain about the size of a golf ball. Make that a marble. Actually, she would be at the upper end of the intelligence curve if she were a rock. Just kidding, Gracie. Nice doggie. Nice doggie.
