Ziplining

Up Kahana & Lahaina Ka'anapali & Kapalua Off to Kauai! Tubing The Luau Ziplining Kauai Scenes

Thanks again to Kauai Backcountry Adventures, we all got to strap our butts into some climbing gear and experience the thrill of "Ziplining". Ziplining occurs when you connect that climbing gear to steel cable stretched high and wide over a deep jungle-covered gorge. You close your eyes, try not to wet your pants, and jump out into nothingness. You fly down the cable to a platform on the other side while your gear makes the sound of a zipper opening (or closing) as it slides along at a considerable clip (400 mph +/-) down the cable toward safety (hopefully) on the other side. Then you get to do it six more times as you work your way down the canyon toward lunch and a swimming hole where you can rinse out your shorts, if necessary.
