SPICY SHRIMP VODKA SHOOTERS
24 medium
shrimp, peeled and deveined and cooked.
(I usually
buy frozen, raw shrimp, thaw them, peel them, and boil in a small amount of
water until just cooked through, then give them an ice water bath)
Sauce:
1/2 cup
ketchup
1/4 cup
pepper vodka (I used Ballast Point “Fugu” Habanero vodka)
1/4 cup
fresh lemon juice
2
tablespoons bottled horseradish, or to taste
1 teaspoon
Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon
Tabasco
3/4 cup
chopped celery
1-2 finely
chopped jalapeños
Whisk the
above ingredients together.
Finely
shredded lettuce
Cilantro
leaves for garnish
Make sure
the sauce is thin enough to slide out of a shot glass.
Add more vodka if necessary!
Fill the
shot glass 1/2 – 2/3rds with the sauce.
Sprinkle a little shredded lettuce on top.
Add one shrimp, a small amount of the sauce
and a
cilantro leaf. Shoot it!
