On our way to Baltimore we stopped at Old Town Alexandria to have lunch and take a break.

A brief history of Alexandria

We parked around the corner from this building which I think might be the County Courthouse.

We had lunch here.

It was a beautiful day so we sat outside.

And had Guinness's.

This is the inside which looks like it's been there forever. I was informed that the bar and most everything else was imported from Ireland and installed here in the early 2000's.

Great bangers and mash!

The main drag is closed to vehicular traffic, thankfully. O'Connell's is on the far left.
At the end of King St. is Waterfront Park.

With more restaurants, museums, and so on

The Potomac River winds on down to the Chesapeake Bay

We visited the Torpedo Factory Building. This is a torpedo.

Old Town Alexandria would be a fun place to spend a couple days/nights - plenty to see and do! Maybe next time!
