Lorri as
Anne Murphy
Patrick's grieving widow

Anne Murphy is a woman of great beauty and fragile temperament. Although she was first engaged to Patrick's best friend Liam, Anne married Patrick a few years ago. She has always claimed to be completely happy in her marriage.

John as
Brian Callaghan
Anne's brother

Brian has always been his sister's protector and has been worried that the Murphys' marriage is not all it seems to be. His career as a professional soccer player keeps him away for long periods. A recent injury has resulted in a long rest period during which time he is staying with Anne and Patrick and has been able to witness the domestic situation for himself.

Jan as
Bridget Gallager
Patrick's sister

Bridget left town several years ago after her mother's death and did not return until she mysteriously appeared a week before Patrick's untimely death. She refused to attend Patrick and Anne's wedding as she said she disapproved of her brother's choice. She is a woman of strong opinions and determined to have her own way.

Jack as
Liam Flynn
Patrick's best friend

Liam and Patrick were best friends for as long as either can remember. Liam was Patrick's business partner and was an integral part in the opening of their first pub. Unfortunately, over the past few years, Liam has become a little too fond of the pub's liquid product and he and Patrick parted company.

Kelly as
Deirdre Connell
neighbor and writer

Dierdre is a successful writer who focuses on retelling traditional Irish myths and folktales. She is a firm believer in the 'wee folk' and often tells tales of seeing them around the town.

Greg as
Father Michael Kelly
parish priest

Father Kelly grew up with Patrick and Liam and started off his adult life as a detective. However, he grew disenchanted with the job and felt that he could do more good in the world as a priest. He was assigned back to his hometown parish a year ago and has re-established his friendships from his youth and from his days in the police force.

Skip as
Colm Gallager
Bridget's husband

A successful English businessman, Colm has never particularly liked his brother-in-law. Ambitious and out-spoken, he regards all of Patrick's acquaintances as quaint and having no concept of what it takes to be a champion in the real world.

Josie as
Una Reilly
the Murphy's neighbor

Quiet and shy, Una has always been proud of her ancestry from the ancient Irish kings. Independently wealthy, Una spends her days researching Irish history and has always made it her business to know everything that happens in the town. She has been waiting patiently for her dreams to come true for she knows the old Irish saying "Castles were built one stone at a time."
