H&A Ryder Cup, Las Vegas, May 19 & 20, 2001
The H&A Ryder Cup returned to Las Vegas for the 2001 edition but the results were the same. The Irvine office defeated San Diego by the slimmest of margins. Well, I guess not the slimmest; it could have been one stroke rather than two. The total score of the top ten players from each office was Irvine, 912, and San Diego, 914.
Since I didn't play golf I have no golf photos, but here are a few from the reception back at Harrah's.
Todd Spencer & Bruce Hunsaker; John Michler, Doug Staley & Dick Hunsaker; Lynn & Glenn Showell & Sylvia Michler
Dave Hammar & Ray Martin; Kitty Knettle, Wendy Hammar, Stephanie Pilgrim & Lorri Hill
Lorri & Jack Hill, Debbie Bross & Dan Rehm; Dick Hunsaker & Gordon Farley; Alan McCullough & Tom Romero
John Michler, Doug Staley & Glen Sharrar; Dana Seguin & Wendy Hammar
A couple shots of the victorious team.
A few of us continued the party at the outdoor bar. Not wanting to face the Sunday traffic heading back to San Diego, Lorri and I stuck around an extra day or two. The photo on the right is a daytime view of the strip from our room at the Monte Carlo.
A great time was had by all and many thanks to H&A Irvine office for organizing the whole extravaganza and thanks to everyone for making us ex-workers still feel like part of the gang.
