On Saturday, August 2, we ventured down to the San Diego Renaissance Faire which took place by the Zoo in Balboa Park. Surprisingly, for a two-day event, it was very well done, organized and entertaining. The kids enjoyed the costumes and shopping and trying on hats and so on.

A couple guys dressed up in armor beat the heck out of each other to the delight of the cheering crowd.

Mal & Jake got henna tattoes from a couple nice ladies.

When we got home, Jake & Mal tried on some of Jack & Lorri's renaissance stuff
