October 3, 4 & 5, State College, PA, the big family weekend!

This is the weekend that had been carefully planned for days and weeks, if not months. The Hills, the Luceys, the McHughs, the Fillings, the Hammonds, the Burnetts and several other clans were represented. The Central Pennsylvania beer supply was severely dented and the bottle and can recycling centers were at capacity Monday morning.

The day dawned cool and cloudy and by game time, it was raining steadily. The rain put a damper on our pre-game tailgate party and forced us to move the post-game party back to the house.

This was taken just before we walked up to the stadium. it WAS raining!

Penn State lost again which didn't help, but after a few adult beverages and consoling words between friends and families, the party moved into high gear anyway.
