Montserrat
We signed up for day trip to Montserrat
Montserrat refers to a mountain as well as the monastary located there.
It's about a one house bus ride from downtown Bacrelona
That trail way down there at the end of the funicular line, leads to the cave where the image of the Virgin of Montserrat was discovered.
It is still a functioning monestary with lots of monks and a school and a famous boys choir

The statue of the "Black Virgin" the Virgin of Montserrat, patron saint of Catalonia is above the alter. Worshippers wait in line to climb the stairs pay their respects
This is our tour group. It was a fun trip but if you're only in Barcelona for a couple days, skip it.
