Logroño
We had an uneventful drive from San Sebastián, and checked in to our hotel for the next three nights, the Calle Mayor.

Our room faced the street on the second floor (third floor in the US). It was a nice room and a nice hotel. There was just a minor noise issue.

There was construction immediately adjacent to our room. The hotel is expanding and they are renovating the building next door. We know. We heard them.

This is the view looking the other direction from our little balcony. It looks peaceful but there is a bar a couple doors down that opens at around 9 and stays open until 4 AM when they kick all the revelers out on the street. We know this because we heard them!

Lorri looking over the Rio Ebro.

The nice young ladies that checked us in gave us a list of restaurants and bars to try.

This is one of them.

A mural notes the Camino de Santiago which passes through Logroño. The play on words is "se hace por etapas" translates to "it is done in stages". Cross out the "e" and, well, you get tapas! The skewer shows a version of the famous sautéed mushrooms of the Bar El Soriano.

Spain is big on gin and gin and tonics. I wanted to try a gin made in Spain and the bartender gave me a glass of this from Sevilla before I noticed it was strawberry infused! I drank it anyway.

This is the wine by the glass list at one of the bars. Notice the prices!

We bought some cheeses for a picnic lunch at the store. Not to much, though. We didn't want to be piggy about it. Come to think of it, we bought some jamón too!

This proves I walked the Camino de Santiago!

Here are some of my hiking buddies. I had no trouble keeping up the pace.

Lorri walked the Camino with me too.

Looking toward the Cathedral de Santa Maria de La Redonda

The Duke is here! See the El Camino symbol above the poster? That means you're supposed to keep walking and not stop for that nice cold refreshing cerveza with Mr. Wayne.

This guy makes authentic bota bags right here in his little shop.

Here are a few of them in his window

The pedestrian bridge across the Ebro

A pedestrian on the pedestrian bridge

The Ebro flows southeast and empties in the Mediterranean not too far from where we stayed in the Priorat wine area.

A big Camino plaque.

We crossed paths with Skip and Josie again in Logroño. This was at "Wine Fandango"

We moved on to "Gastrobar Torres"

Another recommendation from our check-in girls.

It was a great spot

The crowds were out on a Friday night

Lorri blending in with the locals

I liked the way this hotel was lighted

Our last stop

A boisterous bar where Skip and I sat inside a window and the girls sat opposite on the outside

Skip is enjoying a small gin and tonic

The Calle de Laurel was home to many bars and restaurants

Now we're all on the outside looking in

That's our window!

Yup, party time in old Logroño!

Time to call it a night.

The end!
